Director: Anne Egge

I graduated from college and nursing school 35 years ago and find this job to be one of my favorites. My golden rule is: treat everyone like I would want my parents to be treated. When I'm home I enjoy cooking, gardening, reading and just about anything outdoors, including yard work. My husband Paul and I have 2 grown children and 2  chocolate labs, and love to spend time with family and friends at our lake cottage.

I have worked at Park Place for 20 years.  I started as the Health Care Coordinator and am now the Assistant Director.  My duties include planning activities, monitoring participants health needs and assisting the director.  I have two children and 3 grandchildren and enjoy traveling, camping and spending time with family and friends, which include my friends at Park Place.

I am an upbeat person who enjoys bringing fun and laughter in our time together.  I even try to sing and dance – to my own tune of course.  I’ve been working here for over 12 years and still enjoy it.  Through the grace of God, I have a wonderful family; my handyman husband, my comedic son, his fun loving wife, and my thoughtful witty daughter.  To complete our family is our adorable dog Lucky.. His family at Park Place enjoys his furry visits.

I love helping people and giving them something to look forward to everyday.  I have been very blessed with 5 wonderful sons and a wonderful husband.  We are caregivers for my mother-in-law and my family has been a great support system to allow grandma to live in our house.

My interests include sharing my creativity of making cards with friends.  I’m totally hooked on bald eagles (and nature) and spend as much time as possible driving up and down the Mississippi River in search of them.  (Over 400 spotted one weekend)  My other passions are flower gardening, caring for other people, driving across the country, chocolate, and yes – chocolate!

I love being with elderly people and reminiscing with them, and hearing their stories.  I enjoy my two grandsons which are 3 and 1 right now.  Cross stitch is a hobby, plus gardening and canning which is a hobby I learned from my grandmother and mom.  I have bird hunting dogs – German shorthairs, and I help train them for hunting.

Mary Miller

Mary has worked over 5 years as a casual employee.  She has another job as a caregiver, but usually works Fridays at Park Place.  Her warm and friendly personality is appreciated by many that want some personal attention.  Mary is also a familiar face at the monthly foot clinic that is sponsored by Park Place.

My hobbies include collecting frogs of any shape or size. I also participate in the world's largest trivia contest every year with many longtime friends. I enjoy meeting "new" friends through my work at Park Place.

Working at Park Place has been very gratifying for me.  I assist with hair styling, manicures, and other personal needs.  We also have a regular exercise program and I like taking people to that. The participants have taught me much, like patience and understanding.  It is so nice to be part of the caring family at Park Place.
